Requirement Scoping
Before any design starts, we spend time understanding your specific astrological system (Vedic, Western, Numerology, or a combination), your target audience's geography, and your monetization model. A consultation platform for Indian users has different requirements than a Western natal chart app for US users. We document these requirements in a scoping document you approve before we proceed.
Calculation Engine Selection
We determine which astrological calculation engine fits your product. For Vedic astrology, we use the Swiss Ephemeris or a custom Vedic library. We run test calculations against verified reference charts before any UI work begins. Calculation accuracy is non-negotiable; errors here produce wrong horoscopes, which destroys user trust.
UI/UX Design
We design mobile-first interfaces with reference to top-rated apps in your category. For consultation apps, the booking flow needs to be under 3 taps from landing to paid session initiation. For horoscope apps, the daily reading needs to be accessible within 2 seconds of opening. We prototype and test these flows before development begins.
Development Sprints
We build in 2-week sprints with a working demo at the end of each sprint. You can test features on your phone as they are completed, not only at launch. We share access to a staging environment throughout the build.
Astrology-Specific QA
Standard QA covers performance and bugs. We add a domain-specific QA layer: we run 100+ test birth charts through the kundli engine, verify horoscope output against reference texts, and test consultation session stability under load. We also test App Store compliance, including Apple's requirements for fortune-telling apps.
Store Submission & Launch
App Store and Google Play submission, metadata optimisation (ASO), monitoring setup, go-live checklist sign-off.
Post-Launch Support
30-day hypercare period with daily standups. Transition to your chosen maintenance tier after Day 30.
